The seal is fine no oil around the cps. Is their some where I can look up what the clearances between the tooth wheel and pickups should be?

where is the best place to get a cps because i think mine may have weak pick ups. last time I was at the dyno my car was missing and sputtering by it was very inconsistent when it happened. I bought a new wiring harness but the tuner said it seem like it had weak mags.

I know the 7MGTE is a non interference motor, does anyone know if it will become an interference motor with Brian Crower 264 cams?

I thought the AEM 30-1130 was for 89-92 aka the 1JZ and the AEM 30-1110 was for the 87-88 aka the 7M?

I would say get the seat reupholster first them match that color that way everything matches nice. if you do dye the interior I would use the adhesion promoter so it sticks well and make sure you buy the right dye for the material you are dyeing i.e. carpet vs vinyl ect.

The more i looked over my harness i found some wires that are cracked and have copper exposed. So i just bought a harness form someone one the boards that bought it new from the dealer and only used it for 3 years.

OK thanks for the help. I plan on grounding everything when I swap the motor into my new shell so I am hoping that clear up a lot of issues. If it is the cps or knock sensor do you think replace the wires including the pins in the clips would solve the problem?

When the car was tuned it had the stock ignitor but last summer i switched over to the DH61 and followed your write up. I have some log files from from my car would anyone be able to tell if their was an issue with the harness? I got my car tuned a few years back and it made 430 wheel but it never seem to run perfect all the time. some time it would run great but other its seemed like it was dropping a cylinder...

I will have to check it carefully but I know it was getting pretty hot under my hood that some of the wire loom melted. Also some of the wires but not all seemed kinda brittle.

I have heard lot of people recommend getting a new engine harness when using A AEM EMS, They say i got rid of a lot of issues with tuning. Has anyone had success with their old stock harness or should i just bit the bullet and buy a new one from tweek'd performance?

I will have to looking into those coils, As far as spark energy I have a Kenny Bell boost a spark.
