250whp and 260wtq

Not bad for just a gutted cat and 3” catback.
It’s not real rich like I expected it to be, it’s actually quite lean in the lower RPMs.
Also the guy who was doing the dyno said it would not rev to 7k. :dunno:

If there is a limiter, you need to defeat it; I've heard of Aussies and Japanese taking the stock 1JZ to 8k, and with a built valvetrain, 9-10k is not out of the question.

Good numbers. I dynoed mine a couple months ago... stockish. Only had a intake and catback exhaust. Did 267whp and I remember the torque pushing 12lbs of boost. The thing is that it was 94 degrees at the time and over 70% humidity. So the tech guy was like maybe 300 to the wheels. Sounds Good. Haven't felt it yet tho! My speed cut kept cutting in at 125mph. How can I bypass that? O... I hit the rev limiter like exactly at 7k.

my limiter is at 7200 off the top of my head. I never had a problem getting it up that high

The graph shows your TQ and HP numbers intersecting at 4750-4800rpm....when those numbers will ALWAYS be equal at 5252 rpm, no?

Good numbers for stock too, I think. I'm a 7M head so I'm not sure. :D

It is 5252rpm but the graph is not setup with equal HP and TQ readings. For example, at the 150hp mark its 200 for torque.

i just dyno'd my 1jz and am a bit disappointed.

267.18rwhp and 269.80ftlbs torque.
this was in 4th gear, 10.1:1 a/f, and .9kg boost

My mods are 3" downpipe and catback, and k&n type airfilter.

I suspect it is low because I'm running very rich.

Well this is the second dyno on a dynojet : 285rwhp/291 torque

Mods currently : 2jz map , 2jz 550, 3inch catback , 14psi boost (kept hitting cut around 6500 for some reason), SAFc-II tuned to 11.5 I believe.
I don't have a y-pipe nor a downpipe.

ok I feel better then.. I was pretty depressed, although the car feels really good.

that's what matters. that just means the car feels really good at a lower power than you thought. so imagine what it will be like when you get it up in the 280-300 range. :) you could ride in my car and see how it feels. :) I kept up with jose and mikeT and they did like 310 and 350. :)

I agree with Joe. It all matters how the car feels when driving it. I had a little go with a 05 M3 today. From the light, I left him standing when it turned green. He kept chasing me down the freeway but was not able to catch up, and I kept pulling away. And all this with me not even seeing 300rwhp on the two dyno sessions I have been to. I think the guy looked pretty embarrased.. lol , in the BMW as I handled him in and out of traffic pretty well too.. lol
Definitley made my lunch break worthwhile.

I will try and locate my dyno numbers when I first got it on the dyno.

fix the af and you'll be very close to 300

EPS i believe your problem is that you may have a soraer ECU.

Are you sure you have a JZA70 ECU? Could it be modified, maybe the previous owner had a 1.5JZ.

yep, moe. :] don't get too caught up in numbers, matt.:) different dynos read differently on different days and in different weather. you could go somewhere else tomorrow and put down 280-290 for all you know.

dynos are a tool best used for baselines and seeing the differences in mods or changes you've done.

Basic Mods :
AVCR Boost controller - set @ OFF , Set at 1.05 abr , Set @ 1.15 ( starts hitting cut)
SAFC-II
Cat back 3 inch exhaust with test pipe.
2J Map Sensor
2J 550 INjectors
K&N Filter
Stock MKIII pump.

The AVCR was fine tuned first to hold boost better and then SAFC was tuned.
Couldn't up the power much due to boost cut but I was really there to get my A/F right. I stayed conservative for the first tune. Wanted to make sure all bugs were gone before doing anything aggressive.

I need a boost cut controller before I start cranking the boost up for more power.
I also think my stock downpipe is jst not cutting it.

Power/Torque made : 257hp / 252lbs/ft

Car runs and drives so smooth now that its tuned. No more smoky tail pipes :)
