what i care about most is how smooth the ride is. I want at least a 2in drop in front and the back 1in -+ idk.

plz plz and pls dont reply unless you own a set of either one.if you have a picture of your car that would help alot too.

btw i will be using these on stock shocks.its gona be a dd so im not worried about blowing anything up.anyways the golden rule of all supras is if it breaks upgrade it the m fn right way.

I hate to tell you this, cuz I hate to heat it myself sometime but..... USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION, A LOT OF GOOD DATA ALREADY WRITTEN on this topic.

I run the Eibachs and TEMS compatible Tokicos. The lowered vs stock is more sensetive and tight. It gives more positie feedback especially on top end. A lot less body roll in had corners. The back end breaks loose easier at slightly lower G's vs stock but I think that is a good thing. I'd rather know the edge of my Supra at a smooth 35 mph vs body rolling, wheel hopping 50 mph!!!!! Stiffer springs have a similar effect as stiffer stabilizer bars, just not quite as much.

The Eibock's will give 1.5 in front and 1.0 in the back. Not sure if H&R offer greater drop or not. I can tell you this, I can't possibly see how my car could look any better unless I went with coliovers. Any lower then the front lip would be quacked in less than a week.

Lastly, your stock struts will not last long on lowering springs, even as a DD..... Or, that is what I learned from the good guys on these forums.

^^^^^ good choice i have hr&r and tokico blues. it looks good, i love the look but tokico could be a little firmer for me. But it sits kind of low for any mods you are going to get later on. So im going to get a different set up.

Lets say you would love the set up with hr&r until you find out it is a little bit too low.

if you want a smooth ride, buy thinner tires... fact of life.. fattys will perform great but they'll tear your ass apart on the highway.. skinnys suck for performance, but reduce noise and ride abrasions.. dunno why you'd care about the ride in a sports car tho..:withstupi

I have H&R with Bilsteins and was expecting a very harsh ride. It has proven to be very smooth from what I was expecting and a nise aggresive stance.
I drive my car daily and it does not even bother me at all. If I hiit a bump, then I feel a bit more bounce/shake ...but that is it.
With stock shocks, it may be even smother on how your car drives.

Putting drop struts on factory struts SCREAMS "I'm a dumbass".

1. How does one put a "strut" on a "strut"?
2. How does one put a "strut" on a supra?
3. What is a "drop strut"?

Who exactly is the dumbass again?

^Me too. :icon_razz

Btw...I'm still running Eibach struts/Tokico Illumina II struts. Good upgrade but the H&R struts will help fill that wheel gap a little better. ;)

Oops - I was meaning to say "Drop Springs" but you knew that. I am a dumb ass sometimes, but at least I can admit it. BTW, its dumb ass, not dumbass.

And you put struts on a Supra becuz that's what supras take, struts.

My point in teeing off on the little dude is a few of us tried to give the guy some honest opinions and he went off "bitching like a little princess" about the way we were conveying our opinions..... and it just hit me wrong.

No...supras do not take struts!!!! Struts bolt to the wheel hubs and turn with the wheels....supras use a coilover "shock"!

You sir need to study more and not give advice on topics that you have no clue about!

So before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean!
