Really interesting that we don't have one of these over here yet. So I figured I would make one.

Firearms questions? Ask it here and I'll try to answere it. Want to show of your guns or pics from your trip to the range? Post it here. Gotta cool link that shows people shooting/blowing shit up? Throw it in here. Pics from your deployment? Close enough.

After I get home, I'll start uploading pics from my collection (over 40 firearms) to really get this thing rolling.

For local gun laws check over on www.packing.org they will be able to tell you everything you need to know about local stuff.

If you don't like guns, here's an idea. Stay the fuck out of a thread called "official gun thread."

Can I have a shotgun mounted in the hatch of the Supra?

wait, no - scratch that ... I wanna mount it beside the gearshift like a copcar setup!!

Seriously though - I usedta be big into them ... when I lived in the country. I swear squeezing off a few boxes of shells is every bit as fun as that turbo's boost kicking in!

If I hadn't blown all my money in Supra parts, I'd probably have invested in a .45 Sig by now.

My 'collection' consists of a good deer rifle (8mm mauser), a walmart .22 semi-auto rifle, and my first gun ever - an old single shot .410 that currently shortened to fraction of it's former self!

i thought that this was going to be a discussion about the history of guns, the effects theyve had on modern society and the way they were used for racial opression.

I'm glad you started this thread, because I need a good recommendation. Let me start with what I own so far:

1. Vintage Remington .22 Bolt Action w/ Tubular Mag (circa 1937)
2. Remington 7400 - .270 Rem semi auto
3. Mossberg 500 - 12 ga Pump

And I've been thinking about picking up a handgun and getting my C&C license. I figure I should take full advantage of my 2nd Ammendment rights until the cancer of political correctness eventually ruins it for everybody.

So, I really don't want to spend more than $300 - $400, and that ain't much. I assume I will need to buy something used at that price. Revolver/auto doesn't matter much to me, except that I want the best I can get for the $. I've shot .357 & .44 mags, .40 auto and a variety of .22/.22 mag. I really like the .357 and .40, but I've wondered about 9mm, since I think my wife would handle it better.

Given all of that, how about a recommendation on a make/model/caliber and how to pick a GOOD used gun if that's the way I need to go.

I got a question, and this is serious too.
How hard is it to get a carry lisence? I'm almost 21, and no I'm not some punk who just wants to carry one around to look cool. It mainly would stay in my car.
and I was thinkin about a Colt .45, or a desert eagle. I play alot of paintball, and have 2 guns that are high maintaince, so I would deffinatly take care of a real gun.

Nice collection BTW.
o and how hard is it to get ahold of an AR-15, both paintball guns I have are 1 to 1 replicas of an AR-15

Depends on what is the smallest caliber you feel comfortable carrying. If you are going to daily CCW, I'd recommend a polymer gun. Glock, Sig, CZ, HK, etc all make great guns. The main thing is finding one that fits you and doesn't print.

The G20 the full sized glock (the gun in my sig) is too big to CCW unless it's winter time. Plus the grip size is too big for many people. The G30 is a great CCW peice in 45.

The best Glocks for CCW are the G19 (9mm), G23 (40sw), G30 (45), and the G29 (10mm). Any of those would work great. All pretty much the same size and all very easy to conceal. I can take some compairison shots of some of those if you would like.

Along with the above mentioned Glocks the Sig 229/8/5 series are good CCW weapons as well. J-Frame smiths (revolver) rock for CCW. I personaly wouldnt go any smaller than 9mm in a carry gun. But then different strokes ay.

For awesome prices on any of those guns check out www.cdnninvestments.com . They sell police trade ins and you can get crazy awesome deals from them. You'll need to download their cataloge.

Basicaly the best gun for you is the one you shoot most accurately and the fastest.
