So I'm assuming that is the SRT-8 version? There was one at the local track that was blowing doors off of cars all day. But spend 1/4 or 1/3 of that on an mkIII and blow it away with time to spare

Hey dont' get me wrong, but you put the jeep in AWD with some mods to the Chrysler hemi under the hood and you have instant sleeper.
I can't really tell but that looks like an older Grand Cherokee, Those had 4.0 Inline 6's in them if it is. If not, a 6.1 liter Hemi in the SRT8 has 425hp, they are damn fast.

it almost makes a person wonder why drag racing hasnt been taken over by diesels. I saw a dodge dually diesel online do something like an 11sec 1/4 mile...it took off slow but once it got into 2nd it went so fast.... maybe it was even quicker...i'll try and find that vid.
WOW that was a waste of my time, Jeeps are gay, anyone who spends enough to make one run a 12.3 is even GAYER, I officially denounce this video as a disgrace to the mk3 community. One reason the mk3 lost would be the launch was horrbile, someone slept on the tree there. Anyways thanks for posting it but I just pretty much had JEEP and anyone who owns and or likes them, they suck off road too, maybe ya should ask him if he'd like to rally, ya know mk3's did used to rally and desert race, NO IDEA WHY TOYOTA DID THAT!
Maybe becasue its because the jeep has a 360CI engine in a chassis that is only 4000 pounds(dunno if his was stripped) and is assisted by a good AWD launch....
Looks like a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 limited with bolt ons, they run around a 14.8 in the quarter stock. If they would have made the Shelby Durango AWD instead of rwd it would have been awesome Supercharged 5.9 ftw!

I went to a car meet last year and some Old 70's Ford truck pulled up with 3 guys in it. It was all flat gray, with 14" steel wheels. When we got on the road all the body panels would shake when he got on the gas. but it pulled away from a few SRT4's and STi's like they were nothing.
