Sounds like the exact symptoms on my 1j last year, i took my alternator in to get tested and it didn't pass the load test. so i got it rebuilt.
Do you notice any serging at idol?
I got my 550cc injectors back from cleaning and flow testing, when i went to install them i noticed the one had a hole in the filter/screen. I wasn't to worried at first , i thought i would just take one off of one of my 440's or 370's, Nope there not removable.
I tried buying a rebuild kit but...
I only wish my 1j supra was have as reliable as my brothers Rb20 swapped 240, I still don't know what car is faster he dosen't get traction till half way threw third gear, on stock boost.

It will depend on how lean you run your af's, adjusting the map signal to go leaner will advance timing, richer pulls timing. most guys run a 11.5 af at wot and stay just under fc without a problem.
