Can you launch you’re car with 18’s?

Yes it did look like that (white mags etc.), but I was a bit occupied with not crashing to look too closely. Was about 5pm and traffic was pretty heavy. Your car looks amazing - puts my paint to shame. I haven't go into the supra 'scene' yet, but the date for the drags is no good for me...

Can you launch you’re car with 18’s?

haha hello. I stumbled into this thread, but wasn't expecting it to be full of Brisbane-based supra owners. Neither of you happens to own the clean white A70 I saw on the SE freeway a month or so ago? I was in a silver supra (see avatar) with flattened door trim and bomex rears.

    Finally lost my engine undercover...

If you could do this, I'm sure heaps of people would greatly appreciate it! Even a couple of high quality images and measurements between the mounting points would be very useful. :) I plan to fabricate one of these in the very near future.

My 1977 7M-GTE CELICA! Finished! Test drive vid on page 18!

I really like these celicas (wanted one for a first car). It is going to be one hell of a car with that engine. Suspension and brake upgrades still to come? I am loving your work. You and your dad have some impressive skills :) (P.S. I hate you for your workshop and hoist)

I have no idea how this will end....

Looks like a fun project. It's easy to see why the car tried to kill itself and it's driver / owner. Yuck. If I was that poor car, I'd have done the same!

Aussie MKIII chitchat! (all welcome) NWS

Well it works a lot better than having no antenna, but this particular one is a bit crap TBH. Fine in the city etc. where fm is strong, but otherwise not so great. I just use the CD stacker 90% of the time. I have used a similar setup on other cars which have been fine - I think this antenna is...

Aussie MKIII chitchat! (all welcome) NWS

I was reading your build thread the other day and trying to think of something to post. But I got too jealous and gave up... However, it must be said; Your car is the nicest all-round A70 I have ever seen mate. Super-clean inside and out, nice parts freaking everywhere, suspension work, BS...

    Even Number of Spokes bad???

Yeah it is an inherent casting issue, but wheels are a particular problem due to the narrow junction where the 'spokes' meet the rim. This junction restricts material flow during solidification and bam - massive internal flaw. I wouldn't single out any particular country - it can and has...

    Even Number of Spokes bad???

Yeah strength, rigidity and mass moment of inertia matters and that is basically it for a wheel. On a related topic, I should try to dig up some pictures of casting defects in OEM and Aftermarket one-piece cast wheels. Only way to avoid such defects completely is to use a 2 (or more) piece...

    pop it to rock it?

Second this! Someone else had already broken and it was a huge pain to figure out how to re-attach them. The A70 has the easiest door cars to remove and install I have ever come across. Just make sure you get all the screws (especially the ones along the bottom) and take your time.

Can this really change the world???

Just so you all know - that 'news' is an Australian TV show which everyone here makes fun of for their utterly crap, often one-sided, frequently fabricated journalism. Also, such a machine breaks pretty much every energy-related law that there is!

    shine sides warping question

No offense, but going off your previous bodykit related threads it seems you might have your expectations set pretty high - perhaps a little too high. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66105 http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66804 These parts are a...

pulled over 1.07 g's today in my car

Read the first phrase in my post ;) My original post was made in full knowledge of the above. It won't fix everything, but it does help a lot. Ask me how I know. I am really interested in this topic as I want my car to handle. People pulling big cornering force, please list your suspension...

pulled over 1.07 g's today in my car

I'm not 'judging' you on your spelling, but words can't really describe how hard it is to read that post. Just install google toolbar, and run the spellcheck over your posts. It's free and easy to use - there is no excuse not to have it and use it. On topic: How did you log the...

Supra wins on "Pinks" reminder Show time-

Yeah you're right. I'm sure I would be properly freaking out as well if I were racing with my car at stake. In any case it made for good television, which is what counts.

Supra wins on "Pinks" reminder Show time-

Yeah I watched till the end, but just thought it was pretty poor they wouldn't give him a few minutes to fix his (obviously broken) car. Perhaps I'm just not familar with the way things work. Aussies are known for a no BS approach. Did anyone else have an elevated heart-rate after watching...
