I had to give you a hard time for fooling me. I could never live with my mk3 as my only car, so i cant blame you for moving on if you had no choice.

looking to get into a mk3 supra

Lots of good advice here. These are expensive cars to build / maintain and they are awful investments. But i love mine and can never see being without a mk3. Start with a nice clean one that runs and start saving to build another motor. You can build a nice 7m for the price of a properly done...

    1JZ Isuzu timing belt question

The tensioner has a slot for a pin that keeps tension off. If you are replacing the belt replace the tensioner and idler pulley bearing.

Does it really take 8 years?

I bought a complete jza70 5 speed clip to do my swap. It took me 3 months while i was in college taking 5 courses, working part time, drinking malt and banging bitches with no rubbers. Still drivng it and enjoying it to this day, and it has been 8 or 9 years!

    ct26 on a 2jz?

I was agreeing with the comments regarding the CT 26 being a silly idea, and the recommendation on a 57/62 or 62/62.

    aftermarket cams in a 1jzgte

I had to order a butt load of shims when I did my cams, it was 7 years ago so I do not remember what I used. If I was you I would call up Kurt at Elmhurst Toyota and order through him. They have awesome prices and he is a 1jz / 2jz expert.

    aftermarket cams in a 1jzgte

Peak power will be better with 264s compared to 2j cams. But the response and low mid range will be better with the 2j cams. Now that i am drifting i want the low and mid range response.

    aftermarket cams in a 1jzgte

Fwiw I run my "small core 272s". (Lift similar to most 264s, but 272 duration) With stock cam gears. I only pull about -13 in at idle. my powerband is not great, I wish I went with machined usdm 2jzgte cams. The local 2jz tuner has played with cam gear adjustments on the dyno and has been...

    Sway Bar Opinions?

the whiteline ones do not have adjustable end links. there are 3 different holes in the bar that the end links attach to. I have them and noticed a nice improvement. If I was going for a road race / track car I would definately remove the rear bar. I have never tried to mess with the...
