SBC/LS1 with R154, anyone done it?

Good info superwhite, thanks for sharing. Do you have any pics on your project? It sounds like the TRD disc for the FJ is the same disc that is in the stock V6 trucks. I checked MY2009, but others are probably similar. I wasn't able to find a place to buy just the disc for one of these...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Got my downpipe finished, so now I can do some trouble shooting without blowing out my eardrums. I had to go 2 piece for assembly. I had to use a band clamp for the turbo and decided to use another to mate the two sections of pipe as well. So far they work great. O2 bung is a welded on...

SBC/LS1 with R154, anyone done it?

Not to beat a dead horse..., but a stock 1uz puts out 260 hp. In a heavy supra, that's just adequate. You could make sweet power with a set of cams, but where do you buy them? How much do 4 cams cost? This is the point where you realized that you made a mistake. That's why the 1uz swaps...

SBC/LS1 with R154, anyone done it?

Hmm. I used the advanced adapter bellhousing to make a Chevy 4.3 V6 (350 minus 2 cylinders) 2 a R151. By definition, the crank flange needs to sit in the same spot, regardless of engine, otherwise the input shaft won't engage the pilot bearing.

    The "No more 7m" Swap

Sacrilege! What's the new Toy V8? That's an engine that would be worth the hassle, but possibly not the cost :)

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Lol, yeah I've heard that a few times. After I dropped it in the first time, I was ready to throw in the towel. Then someone gave me the idea to drop the crossmember, and I was off and running. Yep, high and low, but also redundancy. I stared at the wiring diagram for possibly hours...
