    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

My 2006 pcm. ---------- Post added at 03:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:25 PM ---------- Definitely supplies power in this case. I have dual maxima fans and the Supra condensor fan relay.

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

No voltage at the PCM pin. If I jump voltage to the pcm pin, the relay clicks on and the fans run.

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Yeah, just joking. Anybody have experience tuning GM PCMs? I can't get my fan control to work. The scanner says that it is on, but there's no voltage at the pin!

Thanks, everyone. Supramario, I hope to close the stock hood. If not, probably something like IJ posted. Or maybe something like this!

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Been a while since I posted. Here's the latest. Exhaust is hooked up. I swapped springs with the white supra to get the front end off the ground a bit. Maxima radiator and fans are in. The upper radiator hose is a trimmed maxima piece, the lower is a trimmed trailblazer piece. The power...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Yes, I have sourced one from a Gent on the trailvoy forums. Thanks for thinking of me, though! I just hacked up my old 7MGTE downpipe and welded the trailblazer stub to it. I'll have to get another video up.

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

Haven't looked at it. I have an electric speedo from a Camry that I think I can use, just haven't gotten to it yet.

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

Pretty sure I tossed them. I'll double-check for ya tonight.

AR5 Trans Take Two: The Solstice Solution

Nope, the shafts and housings don't interchange. You mean like a NA-T with R154 swap? IIRC, the solstice shifter sits 8" back from the stock R154 shifter. I measured and posted earlier in the thread if you want to know for sure. If you just want the shifter, you could do the opposite of...

    Nope, virtually no aftermarket.

^ Lol, I did that too in december. I think I got you beat with the stitches though. <Jeff Foxworthy> You know you're a car guy if...you weld by braille...you've ever gotten a sunburn on your eyelids...your car was obsolete 20 years ago...you've ever gotten a concusion when the ratchet...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Agreed. One of the main benefits of an I6 over a V8 is the relative ease of turbocharging. I want to get it up and running for a while, then think about how to best boost it.

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Absolutely not! I want people to think this is a stock engine when I pop the hood.

Have you priced them? It's not worth your time to save the other one. I had the exact same thing happen on a Sunbird. When the easy-out breaks, it's time to throw it out. I've been there. Sometimes it's best to let your goals slip a few months and come back at it later. I mean, if it's...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Here's a bonus shot that shows the clearance on the passenger side. I literally have to remove the cam sensor connector because it's that close. Also I cut a couple inches off of the coolant inlet to add clearance.

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

Small update, working on fitting a radiator and fan setup from a 89-94 Maxima. The radiator has similar dimensions to the Supra but the outlets are crossed. Also, it's aluminum. The fan shroud and fan mounts have taken a whole lot of adjusting, but it should go. The biggest part of the job...
