quite simple.
tefzel (Dupont trademark, generic = ETFE) is self extenguishing if it ever catches fire.
Tefzel is rated at 150 degree celsius for CONTINOUS use. That is a whopping 302 degree fahrenheit. Hence why they can use a smaller gauge for the same amount of current. Also is why...
psst
that is your problem ;)
The chassis is at a very minimum 16 year old and on the other side, 21 year old. That much time, corrosion between the spot welds would happen. Deterioration of the electrical path is a given.
If you still have electrical problems after that much...
Electrical wiring
that is what is for lunch! ;)
first thing I would address.
Grounds grounds grounds.
To the block. the the front, and one more to the rear. Voltage drop means that you are exceeding what the alternator can put out. Which would make sense. The feed back wire is...
noredline.
just an fyi.. I do this as sidebusiness.
8 feet ceilings is plenty for a projector. Get the right screen material and you are set.

man i was thinking about some things.
"He was not on the chip....."
Shaun is on a TH350? No need for two step. Just bring the motor up to speed at the stall and the boost will build all by itself (unlike a manual). No chip etc involved!
Tech info > "Pinks"
i have the craftsman aluminum jack. The 2 ton version. That thing is low enough to get under a lowered supra!
If taht does not work, do what the WRC teams do. Mini ramps to lift the car enough to get a jack under there.
