Practically toluene? What does that mean? Seafoam has zero toluene in it. If you're looking for toluene try Berryman's B12.
The fact is for serious deposits putting stuff in your fuel or sucking it into the manifold doesn't work all that well. A true soak is better. So will running lean for a...
Seafoam often will work as an overnight piston soak if the deposits aren't too bad but there are better products out there. It's a popular fuel cleaner in the motorcycle community but it's still nothing more than a light oil and naptha. I wouldn't use it other than a soak and I'd never put it in...
Good deal but I'm confused. If the ISCV wiring was bad it wouldn't have stepped back and the idle wouldn't have been high on the next start. Plus unplugging it shouldn't have made a difference. Ah well. Just be sure to check timing again after you get it all fixed because it really should be...
Yep, you're right Johnathan, although you have fuel stuff circled there (from another use of that pic I'm guessing). The line runs up behind the manifold and connects to the pipe that runs to the control port of the CBV. It's the only thing missing on that diagram. Someone needs to photoshop...
Probably OK but I say that based on if one G is lost the ECU can calculate the missing one based on the other but the engine will run like crap. That and the code 12 is suspisious. Does the tach seem to be working OK? Can you keep it running at 10 with the throttle off idle?
I answered his question so I'd say it was pretty helpful. What am I supposed to do, explain how the physical world works? Stuff he should've learned in high school? Things every intelligent adult should know?
This is why we're becoming a nation of idiots. I'll admit I know more about the...
So you increased the VE of the engine with better intake and exhaust, then further increased it by doubling the boost from stock (sorta, you don't even know what it is), then run that boost for extended periods of time, all without any fuel upgrades? Carry on, it'll be fine ;)
Doesn't look all that bad. A bit of hacking for aftermarket stuff no doubt. Was the CIG fuse blown? Take the thing that's hanging and mount (ground) it under the nearest bolt.
If not don't worry about it.
You need a manual....or a 4 year old ;)
Oh ok. Check the CIG fuse. Drivers kick panel, second row of fuses from the bottom. Runs the clock and auto antenna too. Also the AC clutch relay and Theft Deterrent System.
Ok, this post is a work in progress. I've seen more than one lighter melt down...
Man, isn't that the truth. Why some don't understand the value of good communication when asking for help is beyond me. I can't tell you how many posts I ignore because of this even when I know the answer. If it's hard to read, contains excessively bad spelling or grammar, gratuitous profanity...
