It helped my AFR. When I installed the Walbro, my AFR went rich (to 13.5) at cruise. I have the same set-up...550's, Lex, AFPR, no "J" tube...the fuel pump replacement was the only change. Looked at my fuel pressure and it had gone to 45 psi (I didn't have any codes). I dropped it to 35 psi...
I read the previous thread...you called it dead on before IJ!
(You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to IJ. again.)
And, piggy backing on one of your other posts...the same type of problems do seem to come in waves in this forum! We seen how many blown piston...
Yeah, tapping into a curved surface can do that. Can you get a bung to weld onto the manifold where you tapped already? Might be a pipe thread on that adapter you showed in the pic...head over to the hardware store and try some of the pipe fittings. That's what I ended up doing for my air...
Yeah...my Apexi was metric ;) Where you planning to mount it? If it's on the bottom of the turbine housing close to the flange, there's enough metal there to tap directly...no need for a bung. Seal with copper RTV on the threads.
I assume you are measuring AFR with a wideband O2. How rich and at what throttle settings? AFR at ide, normal cruise, and high rpm would be helpful. Also, check for ECU codes...if you have any, they will need to be solved before start adjusting your fuel pressure.
Install the AFPR and...
Chill Dude...IJ already answered your questions. If you want more detail, read the reference section and do a search. Everything you asked has already been covered in detail in various threads on this site. We don't mind noob questions, but you gotta put some effort in to learning this...
Well, high pressure on a stock system can indicate a restriction...not good. Could be your oil filter if it is not a bypass type or if the bypass failed.
Do a search on oil here...more than you ever wanted to know ;) Filter wise, if you're using a Fram, it's a piece of crap. Pure One or...
Yeah...that line is 20 lbs. That's kinda high for a stock set-up at idle...normally it's about 5 lbs or so.
Did you shim the oil pump? What wt oil are you running?
OMG....:aigo:
I see what you mean about being younger...geez!
What I've seen in my travels is a lot of the Eastern European women really like American men...been told many, many times a good American guy is a catch. We treat them good compared to what they get from their homeland...
Her Mom's German, so she IDs more with that side. But she lacks the...how should I say this...the German "superiority thing". She can be damn stubborn though ;) And you are correct JJ...100% feminine...keeps herself looking very nice
The Top 10 reasons why a handgun is better than a woman
#10 - You can trade an old .44 for two new .22s.
#9 - You can keep one handgun at home and have another for when you're on the road.
#8 - If you admire a friend's handgun, and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few...
Hey man...you do need to edit the post :3d_frown:
You know better than that.
Kuwait is not too bad...be thankful we pulled out of Saudi and Iraq is a whole different ball game
I'm with JJ...American women are spoiled rotten and it's our own damn fault. My wife is half German, half Ukrainian...she's got her quirks, but treats me very good.
In the US, octane is an average of two different values quoted as (R+M)/2. The "R" value is Research Octane Number (RON); determined with a test engine running at a low speed of 600 rpm. The "M" value is the Motor Octane Number (MON); determined with a test engine running at a higher speed of...
