Short answer...new MHG...do not use a spray sealer.
The TRSM calls for the silicone on the front timing cover.

Read the TRSM on this subject several times...then read it again.
The ECU changes fuel and timing based on the EFI temp sensor. Get a plug from your year harness and splice it in correctly. PM Tubbie...he has several parts cars.
RC here! You could get lucky with the Venoms, but do you really want to risk leaning out your motor under boost?
To quote Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry...do you feel lucky...well, DO YOU ;)
If you have the aux fans on the car, you should hook the fan sensor up.
The code 22 is caused by the EFI temp sensor or the harness...the signal is not geting to the ECU. Test the sensor per the TRSM. If it's the harness, you will need a multi-meter to track down the break in the harness.
You don't have to weld it...it's a metric thread fitting...same size as I posted above. Just make sure you use Teflon PASTE on the metric fitting to the rail. Teflon tape can shred...you don't want that in your injectors ;)
IMO....The best place for an accurate EGT is in the turbo housing, just after the flange that bolts up to the manifold. If you put the EGT probe after the turbo, your readings will be 100-200 deg less.
BTW - Very nice work Jon ;)
Found the problem Guys!
Pioneer - you were dead on man - my main harness was melted through. It was touching the EGR fitting on the intake manifold. Three wires were melted...one was the RPM signal wire from the igniter feeding the tach....that explains the erratic tach readings.

Good luck with getting it out...they can be a PITA.
Just make sure you replace your freeze plugs with Toyota...the holes in the block are metric size. Doarman plugs can blow out ;)
