Say what? That's just plain wrong. The EGR must not only be functional during the test but the test itself is designed around it. Why do you think ASM loaded mode enhanced emissions testing was mandated over the older two speed idle test to begin with? What do you think the entire point of using...
Drain cold radiator and block. Refill with 50/50 distilled water and an HOAT coolant. Imho G-05 is best. Run engine to temp with heater on. Top up the overflow tank after a few days with the same mix. Monitor thereafter. Then every year or two drain and refill radiator only. Add a coolant filter...
Yeah, it is smaller. Been many years so I'd have to take it off to look but I seem to recall I soldered a short pigtail onto the smaller plug and shrinked wrapped it. You might be able to buy an adapter these days. Or wrap some aluminum foil on there and jam it in ;)
I still have the factory...
Old thread but the diversity antenna system's job in the stock radio was to switch between whatever antenna was getting the best signal so it works fine on FM. Been using it on mine on an afttermarket Pioneer system for years. I unplugged the other one so it stays down.
Does that ECU have rpm cut like the 7M and most other TCCS do? The symptoms are identical. If so check the TPS to see if the IDL contact is opening when the throttle is opening. If it doesn't it'll do exactly what you're describing. At least the 7M and most Toyotas do.
Interesting. Good post too. It'd be nice if everyone was as thorough.
I assume the ECU is powered at Batt, +B and +B1? Grounds at E1, E01, and E02? IGSW at +12 and M-Rel at ground? MIL on? Any codes?
Gs and NE need to be at least 1 volt p/p (referenced to G-) at the ECU terminals or the A/D...
Tis true. Limp hell, as long you feather the pedal and don't ask for too much acceleration it should run close to normal with the AFM disconnected. Mine does. That's how it's supposed to work too.
Now that I think about it that port is on the manifold side of the throttle plate when the plate is closed. It's the EGR one (the one you have capped) that's ported. So what you have there will work but because of the orifice in that port you're using the FPR may be slow to respond to manifold...
N/A cars don't have the line to the accordion. They don't need it. Do you have the TB line hooked up as in the stock method? I'm talking about cases where people block off the TB port and use the accordion only for "vacuum". If your PCV system is stock that's a different story. From what I've...
Why wouldn't there be vacuum on that line? You have to be kidding. Why *would* there be? You definitely get some huh? How much? Measure it and post the amount.
If they're cut in the middle they aren't beaded. You can either buy a beader or double clamp them. Fuel injection clamps would be best. The hose choice was a good one.
Droevig ;)
The sensor can still be bad and not set a code 22. However it should set this code whenever it's disconnected. The code isn't my point though. I suggested unplugging the sensor because the ECU will then use a default value of about 90 degrees, the same temperature as a hot engine...
The ISCV doesn't have anything to do with code 22. That code is only for the coolant sensor circuit. You need to better describe the problem. Idle issues can involve speed or quality. They're not the same thing. As far as the ISCV goes yes, you should hear the motor step open just after the...
