Well...ARP torque specs are rated at 75% of fastener yield strength...w/ moly, that comes out to 108 ft/lbs (81 ft/lbs divided by .75).
Doing the math, you are just under the rated strength by 3%.
I'd give ARP a call and ask for their recommendation...can you back off the torque or do...
I have to disagree this this. I have no problem with air in my CSF...it works far better than stock and is cheaper than comparable radiators out there. It's not as pretty as a Fluidyne or PWR, but works just as well.
Here's the write-up I did when I installed mine:

The bolt sizes are in the 3rd post.
Thank you...Arron your ability to build a solid 7M is without question. I would not recommend you if I thought otherwise. Being able to machine down to a sub-7 RA spec is amazing ;) And is a testment to your attention to detail.
If you know what you are doing...a very thin layer of...
Ok...from the Cometic site:
"Check your dowel pins as they register the gasket and head into proper location. Replace worn or damaged dowels. The gasket mating
surfaces must be smooth 50RA or finer. Additional sealer is not required with Cometic MLS Head Gaskets. The outer layers of the...
I guess the question is what made you use the spray to begin with? It's actually the opposite of me saying not to use the spray...I've researched it and found the manufacturers do not recommend it. And the spray will dissolve the viton coating (depending on how much you use). No offense, but...
Well...here's one:

Note this part under Installation Issues:
"Another installer error is using a sealer on a coated composition head gasket. "Some sealers will react with...
I see the lights and I feel like dancin....:runaway:
Not a lot of use if you can't tune...or monitor HOW rich or HOW lean. Especially when you can install a wideband w/ readout/gauge in the cockpit...complete waste of $$$ you could spend toward that wideband IMO.
But, if it gives ya that...
Uhhh...you don't want to plug that. It's a weep hole in the lower timing cover...it's there to allow any oil that seeps past the crank seal to drain away. Otherwise, it would collect and get on your timing belt...not good!
Got mine here:

Looks like they are on backorder though...and, I think you would be able to beat this price.
I paid $460 or so shipped. I got a call from a friend of mine...he discovered it ;)
Figgie was actually the 1st to have one of these made I believe....his had a trigger for the EMS he's running. ATI basically made a version without the trigger and is marketing it...Figgie found out they...
It's good you didn't spray the new MHG...you were correct...it has a factory coating to effect the initial seal. Spraying a new MHG is asking to blow it.
That radiator could very well be your problem...the 7M cooling system is very finicky. Change the cap while you're at it. You can get a...
I hate those failsafe thermostats...I've had nothing but problems with them sticking. Your radiator could be a problem...if it's partially blocked, it will cause what you describe. You could also have a small leak somewhere allowing air into the system.
Did you use a spray sealer on the MHG?
