Sigh. All I did was tell the guy he was wrong, just like I'm supposed to do. It was he that got bent afterwards. I replied in kind and left it at that.
I didn't ask for the job and neither did jdub. I can't speak for him but I'll be happy to relinquish it if and when the management asks. Until...
I shall, even though it puts me in an unenviable position. The statement above is incorrect. I thought I made that clear the first time. You're not helping if what you post is wrong.
Edit: since Pete edited his post to look innocent I'll do the same.
Cryo: Read the post. He's not referring to the EGR valve.
Pete: I'm no longer doing things the argument way. As an SME it's my "job" to only point out incorrect information. If someone doesn't understand how something works I'm leaving it up to them to learn the facts. You're wrong and the...
Both of those functions are controlled by the latch switch. It's the little exposed contact with the single wire right at the latch that gets grounded when the latch is set. Pull the center rear interior panel for access.
You'd be surprised at what ECU nuggets I know, many of which I keep to myself ;)
It might have been from the one of the 850 series (too lazy to check) but for sure the TCCS manuals have it. If I'm not mistaken autoshop101 mentions it somewhere too.
Hows the wife btw? Getting close yes?
Yes, unfortunately the stock system is a bimetal-bimetal design. While accurate it's not very fast acting. It'll respond to pressure changes within a second or two but needs about 10 seconds to stabilize at the new value. I'm willing to accept that limitation as long as it's accurate. The upside...
Fwiw with a little effort the stock gage can be calibrated to be dead on throughout it's range even if the dial resolution is limited. All that's needed is to gain access to the adjustments inside the sender then seal it back up when done. Not that hard to do.
Hmmm. Interesting this thread would come up again now. Wish I hadn't wasted my time on the ungrateful but at least others can benefit from the info.
So it works fine for an hour? That's not much good is it? I understand you're against it but I'd change the condenser if I were you. First because...
It's old but well cared for, as is everything I own.
Now that we've covered my hair and car I hope we can move on. What Johnathan doesn't seem to understand is his pal took a swipe at me. That made him fair game. That's the way it is in life. He seems to have dealt with it and so should...
Thanks, always had a decent head of it. Shorter these days because the public demands I look distinguished. Go figure. Have you seen Jonathan's btw? Let me find that pic. It's the least I can do....
^ Now he makes sense. Man, these teenyboppers sure are raging balls of hormones. I dunno how they get through the day without wiggin' out at least once. I ask ya, who appears more psycho?
Lol, great photo. I get better looking every day....
Hambone: Glad you got it straightened out. Yes, the throttle must be fully closed as a prerequisite to setting the TPS. The order of adjustment is 1) Verify/adjust throttle linkage as needed, 2) Set the throttle stop screw, 3) Set the TPS, 4) Set the dashpot.
While it's true you should've...
Sorry tubby, thought you wanted more evidence for your little prosecution. Odd that you'd delete (uh huh) something you think would work in your favor but can't say I blame you since I delete yours too. Seems we're on the same wavelength there.
It should already be obvious I have little to say...
