Ok, I see what they're doing. Odd way to do it though. Seems they're just supplying power to those two line through the timer after snagging it off the hot side of the ignition switch. I designed my timer to simply jump around the ignition switch but in the end it's the same thing.
You're right...
Ok, these colors are the ignition switch leads:
ACC is pink with a light blue stripe.
+ 12 is white with a red stripe or just white (AM1 or AM2)
IGN1 is black with a yellow stripe
IGN2 is black with an orange stripe.

I see a problem though. IGN1 is used to run...
We have two. IGN1 and IGN2. You want IGN2 as it's the one that keeps the EFI system alive. Standby while I look up the colors you need. Lets hope the online EWD matches your car...
How can so many not understand a simple orifice based PCV system? Heaven help them if they needed to fathom the valve type.
There is no vacuum in the accordion except under boost and even then it's not much. Why would there be? Just look at the induction system. The pressure drop across the air...
Better to have a bit more than less. Oil level doesn't effect pressure directly. As long as the suction screen is covered the motor doesn't "know" the level. That said a low level can effect temps and that can effect viscosity, which will can cause a minor decrease in pressure.
I run 6...
Ian: The rapid equalization of pressure across the compressor after shutdown stops turbos pretty much dead in their tracks but yeah, I'll give you BB takes a bit longer. It's still not all that long though and they aren't as dependent on oil.
Colin: Give the public too much credit? Me? ;)
CK...
So what Colin, you're saying I drive like your Grandpa? Guess again ;)
If it's not to prevent coking what benefit is there? I certainly hope people don't believe the bovine scat about turbos continuing to spin after the engine is shut off.
I'll admit to having one. Custom designed, built, and...
My question is why are people still installing these things? They're as useless as tits on a bull with Grp III or better oils. What benefit are they supposed to provide?
One time I wasn't happy to be right. I say wasn't because there was no doubt in my mind. There seems to be a widespread belief here that a BHG and faulty cooling system share enough symptoms to cloud accurate diagnosis. That's simply not true. Others will argue this point but they'll still be...
It may be typical these days but it's not normal. One of the things that impressed me about the car when I bought it was how smoothly it idled. You could've stood a coin on edge. The last car I worked on, one saved from the junkyard with a JDM engine later installed, idles nearly as well because...
In theory the symptom should be unrelated to the missing HAC sensor because 1) 800 feet is peanuts and 2) HAC is a trim sensor. Even more noteworthy is the TCCS fail safe default for an open or shorted HAC sensor is 760 mmhg. That's sea level pressure. I could tell you how to get rid of the code...
If the fan runs at normal speed after being connected to the compressor clutch the problem remains in one of the areas I mentioned. You're just going to have to run it down. Leave it as you did it and it's likely to bite you down the road.
My fans have a simple wiring mod that allows them to...
You did good Chris. I was referring to the write up.
I'll give him credit for one thing: It's good to see someone use a relay when many people don't. In this case though it's not needed, as was adding a completely new branch circuit for such a small load. I'm not impressed by his use of what...
Awesome? The relay is unneeded and a connection directly to the battery was used without any kind of overcurrent protection at all. Another example of someone who knows just enough about electricity to be dangerous. It'll work though.
