Sure...you can cap the "T" off as well...I'm still wondering how in the heck it got there :3d_frown:
Coolant flows through that line to your heater core.
My harness is an '89, so I don't know if I can help on the injector sequence. My #6 connector was brown, #5 was grey...they alternated...
You'll have to get the hose from Toyota or rig one from 3/4" heater hose from the parts store. Or find a straight fitting to replace the "T"...do you happen to have an accordion hose from a GTE lying around? If do, the metal fitting (the bigger one) on it might just work.
Yes I do...and I understand now why you're confused...WTF is that T fitting doing there?!?! That would make your heater feed line loop back to the return...I'm surprised your heater worked worth a crap.
You can keep the hard line blocked like you have it. The heater feed hose should be...
This is the diagram I'm looking at:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=CO&Page=2
Where you have marked "now blocked here"...the TRSM shows a rubber nipple. The heater return line is on the other side of the block...there should be no hose on that hard line...
Ok...this is on the passenger side and you had it blocked off on your old motor correct? And it's shown in the TRSM with a rubber block off nipple...correct?
Keep in mind the heater return hose is on the drivers side on USDM cars.
Mike - I know you're pissed, but think about it a bit before you decide to part the car out. There's an awful lot on that motor that can be used again. You get a good block and some billet rods and it will handle the HP you were putting down. Just think about it for a few days.
And I'm...
Ok...lets do this from the passenger side 1st. The block hard line does branch off on that side perpendicular to the block...on USDM cars it is blocked off with a rubber nipple (shown in the TRSM)....on JDM cars that's were the heater return hose is connected.
On the rear of the head there...
Those brackets are stiffeners...one of the front holes line up to under the motor mount and the other end bolts to the tranny bell housing. The stiffeners are side specific.
You'll have to give me some more detail on the coolant hose location.
That's the hard line going from the pump housing around the block...that is a nipple capping off the return from the heater...it's on that side on JDM cars and not used on USDM Supras since the return is on the drivers side. It's good you caught it...as you saw, you lose a lot of coolant fast!
That line goes to the idle up valve on top of the power steering pump and continues to the fitting on the bottom of the accordion hose from the AFM to the turbo.
The 2nd pic is definitely the line that goes to the power steering idle up valve on the power steering pump.
The 1st pic I don't recognize...it almost looks like the O2 sensor connector. Is it part of the main harness?
Here's a pic of the water neck and thermo housing sensors...
Yeah...I was wondering about that too. The technology to ID the base stock is tricky...how did you get the confirmation on the Mobile 1?
BTW - JetJock let me know that Pennzoil Platinum has switched to a Group III hydrocracked oil as well...this is BS...you can't look at the label on a...
Empera is correct...take a look at the TRSM (read the entire section):
http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?Section=EM&Page=22
You set timing to 10 deg BDTC after the valve timing is set per the above section in the TRSM.
