The ATI Dampener comes in two pieces...the dampener with the PS and Alt/water pump belt and an outside (removable) pulley for the AC. All you have to do is not bolt up the AC pulley to the dampener. ;)
There is one issue with the Autolites...they are about an 1/8" shorter than the stock spec plugs. This can cause a bad contact with the wires that results in arcing. It did exactly that on mine causing a slight misfire...it was most pronounced at idle. This was with MSD wires....it seem...
It's a nice dampener...PIA to put on though...it's a tight little wench ;)
That price is excellent, probably better than getting a new one from Toyota.
Ok...I was hoping for an easy fix. Those are good plugs and wires...actually I was thinking about the connection to the plugs.
First check your timing as shown in the TRSM:

Next take a look at the TPS...
Read this...pretty comprehensive (in addition to the above):

A search would have brought that one up ;)
I'm with ya on that one...when I was doing my re-build, I had all the exhaust studs helicoiled and I torqued to 40 ft/lbs using ARP stainless 12 pt nuts/washers. I haven't seen a Fel-pro, but if it's a copy of the one Toyota is supplying now it's good...Toyota changed the exhaust gasket to a...
I'm not saying the CPS couldn't be the cause...the tach doesn't move until your getting the full sequence of ignition signals. The CPS is only one part...the tach not moving doesn't necessarily mean it's the CPS. The ECU does not allow the injectors to fire until an IGf signal (ignition...
Ummm...the tach gets its signal from the igniter after the ECU gets the NE and at least one of the G1 or G2 signals from the CPS. The tach won't move until the ECU sends the IGt signal to the ignitor and the coil packs fire. The signal to the tach is based on the IGt signal...that happens well...
An exhaust leak will have a "clicking" or "ticking" sound. Especially if it's on the passenger side...my next question was to ask what kind of exhaust manifold gasket he used when he did the HG job.
Here's the various differential options for the Mk III

Here's the section in the TRSM that applies to differentials...you may need special tooling depending on how deep you go into this...
da89soup - It belongs in OT and no where else...some of the guys post to get post count up...that means in any section besides OT (where post don't count). They don't know the answer, post nothing...not IDK, followed by a bunch of BS before the guy finally gets an answer...or the thread gets...
You got that right! With the amount of BS being thrown around and the immaturity being displayed...I know IJ not only won't "revive himself" as an active contributor, he'll stop coming around all together. It's getting to the point where you can't even read a thread without it being covered in...
