    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

10.3, not bad at all. Gives me hope for both my Supra build, as well as the Miata if/when I turbo that one... As for v-band connectors holding under boost, I don't see why they wouldn't. I've never measured the psi of exhaust gasses, but considering it's flowing through a 3+ inch pipe, there is...

2 duds with Federal Hydroshok .45

This is probably going to come across as a dumb question, but what do you do in such a situation? Pull the slide back to manually eject the round and move on? Assuming you're in a situation where you NEED the gun, not on the range where you have time to investigate.

Any other BMW owners here? Post Pics of your BMW...

^Wait, an unsolicited picture of a girl on a car forum? Lucky day... Car looks good too. Speaking of the M3, my old lady came across a silver one of that generation that she rather liked. I was a little surprised to be honest, I didn't think that she would have liked the styling of it. Cars...

    Limequat's 4.2l I6 Swap

I'm with T3rril79 man, you spin quite the tale... That "BANG" sounded pretty familiar to me. Hence why we'll be either v-banding the pipes together, or more likely just a weld-on bung and bracket setup like the old Group A cars used. Anyway, good to hear she's such a beast. No surprise...

High compression high RPM 7M-GE build

I'm not on here as much as I used to be, but it's good to see people still playing with the NA setups. Do us all a favor and get a good microphone for when it's running well? :D

What cars made you passionate about them

Heh, couldn't have said it better myself Grant. Thanks for sharing the story man, I had a 1980 Corolla that I was rather fond of, even if it was a bit of a clunker. :p I have to say I agree. As far as a mix of luxury and sport, the Mk3 is probably the best overall that I've ever been in. I've...

What cars made you passionate about them

No kidding... I'm up here in Rock Springs (WY), might have to meet up one of these days man. Not the best of times for road tripping due to the weather at the moment, but this summer I'd love to head down to Moab and through Douglas pass again... As for me on the original subject, I loved...

    Range

Bwahaha, of all the things to get the attention... You know JJ, I hear they're talking about limiting how many staples I can load in my Arrow to FIFTY. Those rotten... On a related note, I was helping put together a parade float back in high school, and like high school kids with a high powered...

What are you guys missing in parts/service/manufacturing support for the MK3 Chassis?

I can certainly appreciate a thread like this. There seem to be two camps of Mk3 owners/fans: -Those who would beat them up and tear them to pieces, then pass them on to the next guy, who tends to be... -Those who would fix them up, restore them, modify them in their own way, etc... I tend to...

Thought I would share my newly inheirited car.....

That answers things completely man. For all the brilliance when it comes to automotive engineering located in that country, they sure do some strange crap when it comes to their production cars...

    2JZGTE VVT-I torque?

If wikipedia is to be believed, there was a bit of an increase in torque, at least on the 1j: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_JZ_engine However, the real appeal of vvti isn't in the AMOUNT of torque, but rather in the DELIVERY of it. Sure, a couple thousand rpm doesn't sound important on...

    44 years ago today

What other part would they have faked? "Houston, turns out we actually landed on Mars, stupid navigator." "It's ok Neil, we can fix that part in post production, just make sure you get footage of the lunar rover doing its thing." :nono:

    2jz-gte 1946 chevy truck

One of these days, we'll finish up my 48 Chevy, but that won't be until after the Supra is done. Then I'd have to find another daily, since the current daily is the Chevy's donor... Either way, really looking forward to next year, car-wise. :D
