somehow the dowel pins and only the dowel distorted my gasket. I was selling it but i dont want it to fuck up anyones motor.

a fellow supra owner told me there hks headgasket has bare metal on the outer layers and the black (viton) layer in the middle.
ever heard of this??
if it is this way when i go look at it, should i clean and copper spray it?

how do most of you keep your exhaust nuts tight?
i have a stock manifold and i am currently drilling the nuts for safety wire.
are there any other ways to keep them from loosening besides safety wire? (its a pain drilling the holes)
i have leaned out the maf due to the fact that the new one i bought was really rich. did i lean out too much?

my truck starts right up when it really cold but once it warms up it takes a while to start.

can i bypass my time switch so it fires the cold start...
i have a 91 7mgte and i just changed the t-belt. (i have done this 3 other times with no probs)
everything is together but i cant get the cps to drop in so the bolt will go through.
i have dropped it in almost 20 times and have been going between two teeth but i need something in between...
put on timing belt and can't get cps dropped right.
if t-belt is off one tooth what would happen?
i keep going between too advanced and too retarded and can't get on the right tooth.
i've been working the past hour on it.. any ideas?

i am 95% sure my timing belt case is leaking and my question is, can you replace the gasket without removing the head?
could i break torque on the head and scrape the rtv off the head and timing case and then reinstall with new rtv and then retorque?
my t case bolts loosened up and i think...
its on the bottom of the t-stat housing and its blue. The connector broke off and i cant seem to find what it is or what it does in my haynes manual.
The connector has black sealant is the back of it so i cant crimp the wire because thats right where it is broken, how do i fix it?
i have a 3in blitz cat back exhaust and i want to know if you put gaskets between the flanges. Looking at the exhaust i can see that one side of the flanged portion is recessed as if a doughnut should go there.
if i need them, and i think i do, where do you people get them from?

the bov is borrowed from a fellow supra owner and has been sitting for 7yrs.
its a greddy and is vented to atmosphere (i know, i know its just temporary).

eibach and tokico with kyb shock mounts and everything is torqued.
the mounts are showing a different amount of threads and its weird because they a fully seated. I want to get an alignment today so any ideas whats wrong with them?
