    JB Weld

JB Weld works very well for many applications. If your are really worried about strength, then pick up some Devcon Titanium puddy. Most bearing houses carry it. We use the Devcon Ti puddy on almost a daily bases at work to repair all sorts of thing like hydraulic cylinders to bearing races on...

Lexus TB TPS to 7M TPS Questions

as long as its a pre 98 (non VVTI) lexus unit, the electronically they function the same. as for the wiring, I cant tell you off hand if its directly swapable or if you have to wire it differently, but I can tell you that its easy to figure out with an OHM meter. This write up will be a little...

    which wheel bearing is shot?

chances are are that it is the left. most of the time when you load the bearing heavily it will quiet up so if making a right hand turn then the left side loads and the right side unloads so there for left side should be the issue again, this is most of the time, but there are those times...

    cps

there is nothing wrong with your CPS. Like I said in my first post, the resistance is not something to worry about until it gets high, about a 1000ohms. I have tested this several times. Plus, a CPS problem would not go away or get better when under boost or WOT. Heres a thing to check though...

The best mhg on the mrkt, or the best period, Your' opinions please.

a regular one will work fine, the bore opening is substanually larger the the cylinder bore, or well atleast is was on my Titan MHG.

    cps

dont worry about the resistance being slightly out. I have 3 CPS's here that are all in the high 200 ohms range and they all work perfect. Yes resistance can become an issue with a CPS and it functionabilty, but not until you get up over 1000ohm range from tests that I have done. Misfires...

    1UZ into my MKIII

souprat, yeah doing it right is not the issue here, its more so do to lack of time and occational lack of funds. Also spending a lot of time figuring out little tid-bits that I am doing with the swap that aren't needed, but things that I want to do for my own reasons, i.e. like adapting a GM CS...

300m coils ontop of spark plugs

1J coils are a lot harder to come by and 2J coils IIRC have built in igniters so they will not work. I might be wrong on the 2J coils as I have never really looked into using them on anything.

300m coils ontop of spark plugs

could be done, but they are quite long for the 7M head. Easy to shorten though. I actually was at one time planning on using them on my 1UZ swap because they were the correct length until I found a toyota factory toyota coil that will work also. could be done fairly easily, but you would...

    what is this?

Its the Idle Air Control Valve. Your going to want to get a good one. Without it, the car will not maintain proper Idle under all conditions.

    Speed sensor

Yes, correct about the ABS and being an AC sinewave format voltage. A digital signal would be better, but its cheaper and easier to use a VR (veriable reluctance) sensor and an A/D converter in the ABS ECU for the ABS insted of a Hall Effect or something of that nature that would output a...

    Speed sensor

The speed sensor is its own entity, but outputs to several systems, Cruise, TCCS, PPS, and IIRC TEMS.

    abs speed sensor malfuncion

It is mounted on the spindle. It rare that they go bad, but it does happen. Could be a wiring problem also. No fuse that could cause any problem. Best bet would be to follow the TSRM test procedures.

    Speed sensor

Like I said, I cant recall if they are removable, but I think that they are. They should be the same between the two. Here is a link on how to test the sensor. I would test it first cause I have never heard of one going bad and it only requiers the cluster to be removed to do so. I would hate...

    Difference in w58's?

The only differance is the release bearing. Actually the earlier original units had a light duty pressure plate, but all replacements (even toyota) use the later heavier duty unit. The differance in the bearing is that the earlier one is pressed on to the hub where as the later one has the...

    Speed sensor

The speed sensor is built into the speedo head unit in the dash. the only way to get one is to buy a new speedo. Its a small magnetic reed switch. You might be able to get one from a salavage yard. Its been a long time since I had a MKIII speedo apart, but I think that you can remove/replace the...

    I hate AN fittings...

one moro time (vote) Aeroquip! Make sure you do not over tighten them. over tightening causes the 37* bevel to desort and therefor leak.
