I can get my hands on a set of 4 for $150 or so. Used of course. I dont much care about looks as long as they perform good. Tryin to keep the sleeper look on my bpu 1jz :naughty:
Cause I wanted the wheels off a rx7 3rd gen cause theyre dirt cheap and only about 15lb per wheel (as opposed to 23-24lb sawblades). Theyre 16x8 +50mm offset. Asked a guy who was running them on his supra w/o spacers and he says they rub in front when he's not carefull while turning.
Got a aluminum koyo radiator. Theres about a pin sized hole in it and was wondering if it's repairable. Tried solder (lol...) and it held water but blew out once pressure was applied. Friend told me about jb weld epoxy stuff. Will this stuff hold you think? Running a 1.1bar cap if it makes...
Good cause i just ordered one. Hopefully I'll be able to receive and install it and get her running again by this weekend.
Anyways heres just a couple more pics I snapped the other day:

Grr...Radiator cracked yesterday. Gunna have to order a new one. Whats good with the 1jz? After some quick searching, it seems everyone is using the Koyo one. Good choice?
Nah, I kept it lhd. Didnt really want a crapload of welds on the front end of the car just so it would be jdm tyte lol... And I got it from jarco since they seem fairly reputable among the supra community. 131000km on the engine when I got it and 126000 mi on the car.
Thanks for the...
Well, I've been the owner of my '88 n/a clunker for about 3-4 years now and finally she has some real power. Got a 1jz/5speed clip a few months ago and got it dropped in. Picked it up from the mechanic this weekend. Went from a n/a automatic to a 1jz 5speed and all i can say is HOLY CRAP...
I originally thought that the 1jz came with twins that had ceramic turbines. But my mechanic thats doing my 1j swap for me says that theres 2 gens of the 1jz and that the latest one (or the early one...cant remember) came with aluminum turbines. Is this true?
Also, is there any need to...
Hey theres nothin wrong with an n/a ;) . Very reliable and get fairly good gas mileage. And still faster than a large percentage of the cars on the road today. Enjoy the sup!
you bought that from 935? The pic thats up on his site of the ypipe looks a bit different/better:
hmm now that i look at them side by side, maybe it's the different angle of the pictures that make them look so different...
I would check up on him every once in a while if I wasnt 3.5 hours away from him lol. I guess he's never swapped out y-pipes for any of his customers cause he didnt seem to know much about them...
:P
