    Wiring Harness Help

NP man. Others will, its just that most dont see it intime and someone has already posted to correct info so there is no need to say the same thing twice. When it comes to wiring (especially engine wiring) on a MKIII supra, I probably have the most if not close to the most knoldge of it after...

    Torsen questions

oh, thats right. sorry I forgot that the cressida's had a 3.909 gears. If your looking to put the 4.10 into the cressida housing, then you will need to swap the ring and pinnion as I am almost positive that they are both different from the 3.909 gears. In doing so, you will also have to totally...

LMAO, that brings back a memory of when I bought two RX-7s for a guy. One was a good car and the other was a parts car that he gave me cause he didn't need it obviously anymore.

80% sure slave cylinder and master cylinder problem!

Are you going to be switching to an R154 trans when you go to the GTE? If so then save a few bucks and just rebuild the slave or buy a cheaper aftermarket unit for the time being cuase the W58 (GE trans) uses a different slave cyl. then the R154 (GTE trans).

    Wiring Harness Help

Will, yeah the two browns should be the knock sen. wires. the second pic is the backup light switch wiring and it runs down the side of the tranny. The switch is threaded into the trans. The last ones are for the coolent sensors that are around the thermostat housing and possibly the oil...

    Torsen questions

What car came with an open diff and a 3.909 gear. I though that only the turbos up through 89 used the 3.909 and all turbos were LSD. After 89, turbos were 3.727 and still LSD. as for swapping parts. IIRC, I also think that the output shafts are different between the Torsen and clutch type...

80% sure slave cylinder and master cylinder problem!

Does the fluid empty? Mastercylinders are netorious for leaking out the back and therefore into the passanger compartment. Best be being that you dont really know a whole lot of history being that you just recently bought the car is to go ahead and change both components (preferably OEM toyota...

Remember, that was in a closed in build and there was no intake track or exhaust system.

    MYT Engine

Ah yes, thank you for the correct spelling. You would think that after having owened 1 1st gen, 2 2nd gen's and a 3rd gen RX-7, and having just finished build motor number 57 that I could spell Wankel correctly by now. ;) As for lack of efficiency, I am talking about power produced vs...

    MYT Engine

A standard Wankle Rotary engine (10A, 12A, 13B, 20B, ect...); simpler, yes; more efficient, most likely not. Thats the Rotary's downfall, lack of efficiency.

How long have you been modifying cars for?

Roughly 24 to 25 yrs. here. Now the strange part is that I am only 30, But well lets just put it this way, I assembled (what I was physically strong enough to do) my first motor when I was 6 yrs old.

    MYT Engine

It transfers power to the shaft via two drums that are attached to each group of 4 piston/pucks. the each drum has a radial arm that extends to a connecting rod of sort. The rod is used to drive a gear that rides along a stationary gear which causes it to travel in a circular path. The two small...

    MYT Engine

True to an extent about the torque, not entirely displacement though being that a Rotary's advertised displacment is not truely equivilent to that of a standard piston engine. Remember, a piston engine moves it's complete advertised displacment in two revolutions where as a Rotary does it in...

    MYT Engine

Thats the first time I have seen that. I dont see any reason as to why it wouldn't work, its basically a redesigned Rotary engine of sort.

    Differential Question

I dont know if its the same on all MKIII, but its a square nut inside a metal cap that the cap is welded to the subframe and prevents the nut from spinning on my car which is a 1990.

Can I use 2 1.4 MHG at the same time?

Not saying to go ahead and do it, but I do know of a local Turbo'd 2jz-ge SC300 that is running two stock OEM 2jz-gte MLS and running 25psi and has been for more then 2yrs now and the car is a daily driver at that. I have heard of this befor amongest other 2jz-ge guys and other engines as well...

    Rear brake upgrade?

Another alternitive to this if you have the time for the car to be down is to pull the hubs and have the rotor pilot area welded up and remechined.
