True, doesn't mean the cat is bad, but it's a clear sign something is wrong.
Most RWD cars have a warm center console area, hell, on the miata where they don't use sound or heat insulation for weight reasons, they use it over the gas tank and around the shifter for specificly those reasons.
If you have the heater core flowing it will be hot, would just be compounding his issue if it's his cats.
If your cats are clogged, find the reason and fix it...
You bypassed the switch for the heater core? So it's open all the time? That would be your problem if you did...
Also, if it's around the shifter, sounds like some of the boots are torn or missing.
Yep, and a turbo does impact power a bit as well as it's a restriction on the exhaust. Regardless, the efficiency numbers for a turbo kick the crap out of all but one supercharger (rotrex, and even it's not as efficient).
Well, where to begin...
- Get parents involved since they have no legal grounds to punish him for events that happened off of school grounds.
- Fix the truck so it doesn't smoke (or put stacks on it so it goes UP).
- IJ: tons of people burn wood here during the winter cause it's nice...
His comment about why turbos aren't used on straight line cars is WRONG. Turbos were banned from top fuel because they completely dominated over the supercharged rails...
