TPS has to be adjusted right (TSRM shows how), also, if the ECU got fried, did you check the harness with a fine tooth comb to make sure it wasn't damaged as well?

MAF compared to the AFM we have. If you're going to go through the work of changing the system it would be best to go MAP (to avoid boost leak issues)

The electric motors would have to be fast, and even worse, they'd have to be spinning when you're stopped (if they fail, oops, unintended acceleration!). Smart, but not for car use...

I'd check, IIRC the MKIII's have rubber in there, dunno if the MKII does. Don't imagine it would be too hard to bypass it if it does, at least with your skills :D

Does the steering shaft have a rubber insulator in it? If it does that header is gonna fry it in short order.

Doesn't change while driving, the switch effects the shift points in the tranny (good example is that in normal mode it usually only downshifts one gear when you put the gas down from a roll, pwr it will drop 2 gears)

First one isn't all that uncommon, it's why they spray water during burnouts to keep the risk down (and I dunno about you guys, but I don't see a burnout "attempt" there, he was burning out, though he was cheating with the soemthing holding him in place LOL). Second one...pure idiocy.
