    Huge oil leak

Did you bottom out the seal all the way around where its pressed in? Might just be cocked, hard to notice unless you really are looking.

Ebay mufflers, are they that bad?

i would imagine the insides/sound deadening material is crap and would probably end up sounding like ass fairly quickly if not right out of the box

    Cressida 7M-GE Head Oil Channels?

I think i see what you mean, but those triangular ports labeled as oil channels on that picture are just coolant passages, and my gasket has only the intake side cut out as well, i figure its part of the design.

    W58 clutch options ~ 375 ft lbs

I have a spec stage 3 with my w58 on basic upgrades, stock boost, rebuilt engine. Holds fine, doesnt feel like it will slip anytime soon, though i havent tried turning up the boost. The pedal is also very reasonable, felt nearly the same as my stock NA clutch surprisingly. Engagement is a little...

    7mge head bolts????

There's no issue with re-using the stock bolts. Use them if you are going with a stock head gasket, just make sure you inspect them for damage, make sure the bolt holes are clean and aren't full of water, and coat the threads lightly with oil before putting them in and torqueing them.

    Crank Clearance problems...

Your clearances aren't too large, but i would be questioning the alignment of the bores. You should measure the bores for straightness, then measure each bore for out of round/taper/size etc, then mic the crank and determine if you can get Toyota bearings in their respective sizes so your...

    Oil Shaft bearings *Installation Help*

When you replace them they will be extremely tight. you have to either machine the shaft journals down or cut/sand down the bearings. I found that they were slightly out of round as well, so i chose to sand the actual bearings down until the shaft fit perfect and rotated nicely. They dont bear...

    Bosch BPV

I ended up getting the dual port 25mm, but in the end i have it set up for plumb back only. It worked fine and i didnt get any stumbling or anything with it vented, but it was drawing in unfiltered air under decel, so i have it full recirc now. I have a reducer bringing the size down to the...

    Bosch BPV

It does make some sound that you can hear inside the car, probable not outside if you are driving by. I had one and the most irritating part about it was right around 0psi light throttle accel it made a very annoying "hooting" sound, sort of like the valve fluttering in there. I loved the valve...

Aluminum Radiators and the Factory Fan, Fan Shroud, and Mounts

Awesome info! I picked up a Koyo RO171 (JZA70) and i will be using it with my 7M. I will try to get some good comparison pics and see how the shroud installation goes when i put it in.

tired of push starting this car

Try running a fairly thick jumper wire (12ga prob fine) from the battery directly to the starter trigger terminal next time it wont start (MAKE SURE THE TRANS IS IN NUETRAL). Its a common problem that the trigger wire in the harness has high resistance over time. If you check it with a volt...

    Camshaft Wear

My clearances were out of specs, and i had found a guide on here explaining how to repair the common issue. Basically, took all the valves out and plastigauged the cams, then where clearances were too large, you take those caps and lightly sand them down evenly and recheck the clearance until it...

    Camshaft Wear

Journals seem a bit under sized, try plastigauging the cams. If you have the valves in it, you can put the plastigauge on the underside of the journal so the valve spring pressures dont squish it.
