Fresh build, oil seepage from Rear Main

Could just try replacing the seal as it could have been nicked on install as well...

Removing the retainer will disturb the oil pan seal IIRC.

How bad are my cylinder walls?

Yeah, had to look it up, clevite reboxes many different brands, they may have moved to the cheapy king bearings these days. Though considering the shoddy work by the shop, they probably just bought the cheap ass king bearings.

    HID Help

http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=3730 You can build your own for cheaper usually, but if your time is more valuable (as it's honestly quite a bit of work), plug and play is the way to go.

Suggestions while the head is off?

Any and all seals if the block is being worked on. Also know it's gonna nickle and dime you to death with little things. I could fill a huge list of things you should do but it's never going to be a complete list to be honest. Shit breaks and you find issues anytime you tear into an engine...

Hood doesn't pop, and other crap

Lubricate the latch. Also, does the hood hold itself up? The hood struts help in popping the hood. Any number of reasons, probably related to the miss you're also having. See above. Normal for the age of the car. Want it to go away? Replace the nylon endcaps on the lock stop...

    HID Help

Doesn't matter what kit it is, the chinese HID's are garbage. The ballast is cheap and fails, the bulbs are crap, and the controller is even worse. The only decent way to put HID's in a 200mm housing without a projector retrofit is to use the shields that allow the use of normal D2 HID bulbs...

    HID Help

Yep, a while back I looked at more and found some that they wanted over $3K for but can't find them right now. I'd be willing to make the retrofits for people if I didn't know people wouldn't pay my price...

Help with the coolant lines that go under the header.

Regardless if it's JDM or USDM (since early blocks have the same exact pipe) you're not going to get the new one on with the motor in the car...

Has anyone done any pedal modifications/replacements?

Stock linkage makes for a very heavy pedal, if you've eliminated that and it's too easy, add more springs.

http://www.kbcarstuff.com/6054-200mm-Rectangular-Bi-Xenon-HID-Headlight-p/xd-6054.htm Like I said, crazy price. That's the cheapest I've seen em though, there are some that go for a hell of a lot more...

How bad are my cylinder walls?

Aren't clevite bearings reboxed king bearings these days? Last I knew they don't actually make bearings for our engine anymore.

Help with the coolant lines that go under the header.

Head off or engine removed (or both, been a while since I've done it)

Good luck with the chinese HID kits, you'll be lucky if it lasts a year (speaking from experience)
