Nissan tends to use 7 spokes as well. Personally because I'm a picky bastard 4 lugs = 4 spoke (or a multiple of 4) and 5 lug = 5 spoke (or a multiple of 5)

If the sensor isn't bad then you have other problems, bypassing it will only be a bandaid... Also, it's easier to check the bulbs if you pull the bulb holders out so you don't have to look through the lense. Lense can hide one of the brake light bulbs being out quite easily.

I can name quite a few people off the top of my head that got their cars where they wanted without buying "coilovers." Proper shock/spring combo that's tuned will outperform any of the "coilovers" out there.
