Probably, but the Right Stuff is superior, its some kind of magic RTV haha. If you use RTV often i recommend buying a can of the stuff, its pretty good stuff.
Youre going to fight with it 10x as much if you try without pulling the turbo, and it i wll probably end up leaking again. I have put a verrry light smear of Right Stuff gasket maker on that gasket and never had a problem.

You already have it out on a stand why don't you do a full rebuild on it with new stuff? Obviously someone else (someone stupid) was in the motor. Who knows what other stupid stuff they did.
