i was looking at a picture of an MR2 and the sides of it's spoiler look almost as long as that. i thought that was the wing used until i saw a post stating that its AB-Flug. i guess the mr2 isn't wide enough to share spoilers anyway.
like i said earlier, a brace for the targa can be had that will allow the chassis rigidy of having the top on or better and allows for the open air feel... incase you all havent seen it before. i could post a link to the thread if anyone wants it.
suprahero - lol...
mattjk - you have nice leather seats? BLAHH!!! i'd like to have them...but i guess mine are really nice to... whatever. i dont remember what the leather ones look like...i dont think they look as nice. all i know is the stockers in cloth look pretty sprty and feel great...
even with it off i've seen a thread where someone was having very nice looking t-braces made up that was going to be a group buy last time i checked. really nice design and supposedly it was just as stiff and strong(er) than the stock targa top, so you could bolt it in place of the targa top...
its funny...i keep seeing people say "i have this but i want this" nobody wants what they have and everybody wants what someone else has. understandible though...
yikes. that's huge.
not sure but thats not the stock center piece and i kinda think you'd have alignment issues with that HUGE side piece. that center spoiler has a lip in the back and a center mount - not stock if i'm correct. but i guess with a little bondo and imagination you could make...
dont buy the cheapies. they could be made of plastic frames for all you know and you wont unless you break them apart or let a collision do it for you. they're probably metal but what would a cheapo company care if their seat breaks...i wouldn't be suprised if they stuck "for offroad use only"...
u could say f'it and just shove some clay in there...
but yeah i know the whole lego bit...that's why you buy a LOT of legos...less chance of it happening, but more chance you'll never be able to find the part in the bigger pile...i guess there's no way around it huh? lol....
so does that mount on the existing spoiler to create a double? i've seen someone do that. if not where's the old spoiler headed?
your car looks awsome, it should fit it well!
thanks for posting more pics bny the way, looks good :D
i agree on the ground clearance thing...i love how i can cruise right over stuff like speedbumps (although maybe i'm screwing up my alignment doing so) and other lowered cars and some stock have to slow down. i think it's funny when i car...
ok i dropped the head off today, turns out i dont need a valve job, and it was too expensive anyways. he's going to surface the head and helicoil one stud for me that stripped. i know everybody does all of them but both men there were nice and told me that with what i had i probably didnt need...
well at high speeds don't cars generate lift? like any other asymetrical shape through the air, there will be a low pressure area just behind the top of the car where it slopes down because the air approching the front of the car is compressed into the air above the car and then released back...
OH!!! my baaaad.... i'm sorry i havent been in the whole toyota realm long enough to remember that. I was in fact thinking of the company Champion like mickyg suggested and was suprised that they produced gasket sets as well as sparkplugs....lol.
thanks for the clarification. i'm taking in...
but then i'd be getting a champion headgasket when i wanted a toyota one...
and doesnt the toyota set come with all that stuff as well?
I was just going to buy toyota studs and nuts when i was at the toyota shop but i'm not totally sure. i'd need to get the part number because i dont think he...
go to NGK.com there is a search tool for ur car and a turbo and N/A both have 6 NGK plugs to choose from ranging from 1.99 to 10 dollars a plug at a dealer.
i was going to get standards. not what i have to take them back i might get something better.
i did. the new one is a bit shorter on the tip, the end of the threads is even but the sparker tip after that is shorter... and the size socket needed is bigger...a size you commonly see on small engines. that and NGK's site gives 6 plugs for 7mge and none of them match or come close...
paint it. or use electrical tape or better yet, some good black duct tape. i have some of that and now that i think about it...that's not a half bad idea if i do it right and put the seams along the bottom.....
