will filters clean the gunk out of the oil that accumulates after the ever-common BHG? If so.... what would be the best method to effectifvely clean out that gunk that comes from a BHG? could only one good filter be used or would it be ok or better to use a couple cheaper filters and change...

ok, i'll do some reading in the TSRM on the plastigauging. dont know a thing about it. ----EDIT #2----- now that i read up on it... what do i do if they are loose? i dont see how i could fix that unless i took some metal off the caps... whats the worst that could happen if i dont fix them...

but what about the parts of the engine involving the head? TSRM says to add "seal packing" on the block where the front plate seams with the block, and around the #1 cam caps.... i dont know what kind of sealant to use when it calls for this "seal packing" i think it HAD orange RTV so i...

you're right, the uniform height really makes a difference and gives it a newer rounded look. I think the pre 89 lights like mine look a bit dated... for a while i wanted the pre 89 lights with the 89+ centerpiece but i dont think it can be done. can it? even thoug pondering it doesn't help...

good point. i was also noticing this because the crappy fel-pro one i had was...thin. and it was little circles of gasket instead of one huge gasket and lots of material between the ports... the fel-pro had just enough to hold the circles together and could probably aid warpage. blahhh.
