yah, most of these motors now have oxidized valve covers, but it is easy to just remove them and polish or re-paint them. Makes the engine look 10x's better. That is a clean swap though.

brake cleaner will probably definitely kill your AFM, but if you use electric parts cleaner, that stuff works great. I have used it many times on Nissan AFM's when they have failed and they will work great again. Usually its the oil and dirt that gets on them and kills them.

The problem is that your NOX will probably go up when you end up leaning out the car and you just barely passed NOX so that might be a problem. yah man, don't ruin that pretty 1jz flywheel with a crappy used clutch. Just save up and do it right the fist time, and you will be a lot happier in the long run.

I was able to look at the back of th valve covers and they are clean with no oil their. I will just remove the trans and see whats up It is definitely inside the bellhousing becuase I can see the oil in their when I removed the inspection plates.

I haven't gotten my trans out and won't be able too until the weekend. I see in the pic above that it is definitely leaking from the seal, but I was wondering if anyone else has has leakage from the area that I marked.

The seal was flush with the holder when I installed it. I resealed the oil pan with silicone (the pan with the drain plug), but I left the big aluminum sump alone.
