found two turbo used that a guy is selling and was wondering what should i get? Plans on using it with a 1jz, 550cc injectors, SAFC II , AVCR, FMIC. MAinly Circuit and Drift. Something that wont lag forever and wont die on top end.

Turbonetic's originally then I upgraded to a 60-1 and kept the hot side. spools up very quickly. Turbo has very little shaft play and very little use at all, one track event last year and and a few cruise here and there. T4 manifold flange, 3" 4 bolt exhaust, 2" outlet and 4" inlet. spools up very quickly
AR .70/.69

Or

Garrett T04E Turbo 60/70. Has divorced scroll exhaust side. V-band flange for downpipe

Damn I lean towards the turbonetics personally even though your saying the garret has the vaband flange, which is oh so nice for mounting and aligning. But finding a mani that is vband is much more challenging

I seen the Turbonetics turbo on Ebay. The rear housing is turbonetics and the compressor housing is from an ebay turbo. It looks like a T4 T04b 60-1.Yeah this one will put you in your power goals good luck........

Alright, I decided to revive this old thread rather than make a new one. I saw someone selling a Turbonetics bolt on 60-1 and I'm just wondering if this would get me into the ballpark of around 400-450 (closer to 450 hopefully) on a 1JZ w/ a stockblock and proper supporting mods. I'm basically trying to decide between this and the Driftmotion T4 60-1 w/ .70 AR

I'm currently running a CT26 57trim, so I was thinking maybe this would fit right onto my existing manifold with very little effort then I would just find a new waste gate. Then I would give my 57trim to my 7M as a hand me down.

... but if I had to a guess I would say that Driftmotion 60-1 would probably flow more even just with a puny .58 AR.

Any thoughts/opinions on this?

"Turbonetics 7mgte bolt-on turbo
DESCRIPTION: 60-1 hi-fi with a .63 A/R with stage 5 shaft. I had this turbo rebuilt it has less than 1000 miles on it. The turbo is journal bearing and water cooled comes with all lines. The reciept for the rebuild comes with the turbo. The inlet of the turbo will fit the stock accordian hose. "
