which MP turbo to get?

been researching turbos for a lil while now, trying to decide what to get for my car. i would like to be able to push for 500-550whp in the future, but goin for 400whp now. would like something that will spool reasonably quick (felt my buddies pt76 and its waay to slow spooling for me)

was gonna do the upgraded ct, but would rather only buy everything once.

goin with the cheap chinaman manifold (the better stainless tho) and a 40MM WGA,
the 2 turbos im lookin at are both Master Power turbos, the T-64 w/ .68ar
or the T-60 w/ .63ar


any other suggestions are welcome, as well as any additional info on those turbos. tried searching but could find anyone that had used em before.

That sounds good! I bought a MP T64 and I am in the process of tuning. I did a pull without a boost controller and a 15lb spring in the WG. I hit fuel cut or blew out spark @ 4800 rpm and 19psi (pump gas) :nuts::nuts:

I hooked up a boost controller and need to do a couple of pulls. Plus ad a few gallons of 100octane fuel..

that sounds awsome. how'd it pull? how does it compare to the 60-1 ct26?

i already got mine in, just waiting on the manifold to put it in.

oh and where'd you drill for the nipple on the turbo for the WG?

Well, the first pull scared the crap out of me.. I went from a stock manifold etc.. to a T4 mani, external WG and open dump tube. Spool was a little slower but when it started spooling the back end dropped, the front end lifted, and the WG opened. :aigo: Totally different feeling..

Compared to the 60-1 seemed to come on a little faster and it pulled hard! Just not quite as hard as this one does.. I pull like 316whp and 331tq @12psi on the 60-1. I probably would have stayed with that turbo for a while but I had too many issues with it. So I decided to buy a brand new and not rebuilt turbo.

For the WG port, I just pulled my lower IC (hard pipe) and tapped a fitting there.
