Hey.

So I've been going over my new mkiv, 98% of the car is pretty freaking clean. I came across a few things that made me pause, though...attached pictures. Can anyone tell me what these are? Assuming blue box is a piggyback for timing retard. The other one says electronic toll collection. Just want to confirm, will I have any issues removing these?

I'm no help because I've never seen or heard of either of those during my last ten years of Supra involvement. I assume this is a JDM Supra, right?

The only reason I can see why anyone would want to retard timing on a stock turbo MkIV is if you have to run low octane, like less than 91. Even then, the stock ECU will pull timing on its own.

On an interesting note...i noticed yesterday that the ignition box's LED only lights up when the car is off. After playing around with the switches on it, I'm starting to think that this thing is for retarding the timing only when STARTING the car, to make it smoother. Anyone hear of something like this before?
