Thanks for letting me join guys. I'm Dave Buckshaw from Fram Oil Filters. For the past 6 months I've been swapping an Aristo 2JZGTE into my 1971 Plymouth Scamp. It should be ready to fire up in a couple of weeks. I saved the Plymouth from a Phoenix, Arizona junkyard and of course the engine is from a Japanese scrapyard. Hence the name is Scrapyard Scamp. We are painting it orange and will have it on display during the Hot Rod Power Tour and Car Craft Summer Nationals. It's my first 2JZ swap so we are all excited to see how it runs for sure. We are also on FB as Scrapyard Scamp.

My buddy has a 37,000 mile 52' Cranbrook with a flathead six and 3 speed column shift. It isn't fast but a very cool car to drive. Straight and slow! What do those weigh Fixit? I was thinking that I would do an old car someday with a 4 liter common rail diesel.

no idea... but it is the same wheelbase as a reg cab dakota...so a frame swap with a modern drivetrain and suspension is possible.... thats my thought...5.9l would be fun, but then again a 2j would be too

awesome!!! I love original swaps like this and I was always a muscle car guy, just restoring a 50 year old chasis is expensive and alot of fabrication, thats how I got into tuners. Something a little better for daily driving, plus I enjoy shifting. I remember I tried so hard to get this '72 blue metallic nova with a 350 3 on the floor for my first car, but never happened (gas guzzler lol)
