88 supra turbo 7mgte idle surges now after trying to lower my idle which was at 3000rpm. i have replaced idle air controller, replaced tps, smoke test to see if there are any vacuum leaks. need help
There's no adjusting the idle with the TPS, it does have to be set and it will effect the idle and the timing. You need to set the TPS then set your timing. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=101 In diag mode the MIL will show code 51 when the gas pedal is slightly pressed and no codes when released. If it does the TPS is set close enough.
