So, doesn't this sound like a scam?

First off, my dad is selling a '70s International Harvester front end loader on Craigslist.com. Here's a link to the ad:

http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/grd/930148961.html

We got this email about it, which to me, is VERY fishy. They basically want to buy it sight unseen, using a "certified bank check", and have their "movers" come pick it up. Sounds fishy as hell to me. You don't buy something like this without seeing it first, or even trying to negotiate the price. Here's the email- I've put it all in order so just read it straight down:

Hello... I really appreciate your response to my mail.I want you to consider
it sold, pls do withdraw the advert from craigslist to avoid disturbance.I
want you to know that i will be paying via bank certified check .I will need
you to provide me with the following.
information to facilitate the mailing of the check .
1.....Full name to write on the check......
2.....Full Physical address to post the check.....
3.....City......
4......State.....
5......Zip code.....
3.....Home & Cell Phone to contact you
**I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for
shipping i will have my mover come over as soon as you have cashed the
check** Thanks

Is it just me, or does that sound fishy? I don't care what kind of certified check it is, this person is weird. To me, this sounds like:

"Hey, let me know where you live so I can come steal the tractor while you sleep."

Maybe I'm just freaking out because I'm going through a huge scam ordeal with my credit card company. Ugh. This past week sucks balls.

Thanks.

some how they can send you a check, when you attempt to cash it it will bounce. then this some how enables them to get your routing number and they can then empty your bank account.

usually when people use the word "advert" there is a good chance they arent in north america. And wording like please do withdraw to avoid disturbance...thats just poor translation. Like "introduce the check into your bank please"
