slave cylinder question

hey i just pulled my trans out of my mk3 (r154) to do a clutch and realized that there is alot of movement in the shaft for the slave cylinder im just wondering if this is normal or if i need a new master cylender?

Yes, that is normal. As long as there is no leaks, you are fine.
