ok guys i pulled my r154 out of a donor car i have and the clutch is about shot in it. I know this is an odd question but do i need to by an entire clutch kit or is there a way to check the pressure plate and just possibly get a clutch disc instead of the entire kit?:aigo:

Is the pressure plate surface worn, or not.
If it is groved all to hell, then don't use it.
But if it just shows minor wear marks, then deglaze it with some emery cloth, and use it.
Hell, it is probably better than 90% of the cheap ass pressure plates I see on chinaBay, like F1, OBX, etc..

Ha your not kiddin, It seems like nobody makes quality stuff anymore. I decided to just use the pressure plate. I ended up buying just a clutch disc and using the pp and throwout that i pulled with the tranny. I just finished my auto to r154 swap today and the disc seems to be holding well, but only time will tell that:nono:
