i apologize if this has already been discussed but i couldnt find it if it has. So apparently the cressidas 7mge only has 190hp compared to the supras 200hp. Does anyone know what the difference is? The only differences i know of are the throttle body and upper intake. Could this b the reason?

They run a GTE style intake (3000 pipe is plastic) on the cressida. Outside of that, I don't see anything else different (cams are the same, etc.)
the upper intake design gives the supra more kick, other than that, theres no difference in internals.
awesome thanks guys. the one i got was in pretty good shape but im rebuilding it anyway and using my old intake. whats the difference in the oil pan?
the supra nad the cressida use a diff crossmember, so the big bump in the oilpan and the oil pump pickup is different. easy enough to swap over. if you have the 2 side by side, it will stick out like a sore thumb
Ah. so does that mean the cressida oil pan wont fit in the supra? ive got the pickup but not the oil pan
Cam on the 86.5-88 is different. The intake changed over to match the Cressida when it went 7M. As such, cylinder pressure is different with the compression test specs.
I got mine out of a 91 cressida so it should b the same as my 89 tho right? the cam i mean. I've got my old intake to go on it.

The Cressida has no changes that I saw. It has been many years. And yes, the 89 new body on the Cressida got the 7M.
