Question on a oil cooler on a 1JZ

So i want to run a oil cooler on my 1jz swap and just had a few basic questions, and am looking for some peoples set ups. i read the sticky http://www.supramania.com/forums/sh...ostat-Controlled-Oil-Cooler-amp-Remote-Filter

For the 1jz do i still need the NA filter stud? (NA Filter Stud - Part #90404-20173 (PNC #15600A)) if i am using some thing like this Filter Adapter - Canton #22-595 (1/2" NPT fittings, 3/4" x 16 filter thread).

next if any one has suggestions of the actual cooler they used with part number and where you mounted it, that would be awesome.
