Can someone snap a picture of there 7m fuel relay for me? Aren't the '88 and newer supposed to have a resistor attached to them? Can't seem to find it on mine. My fuel pump isn't firing and I think this may be the problem.

Also,

On the relay connector I get:

B to PR 6.4 ohms (haynes says there should be no continuity here)
B to FP 3.6 ohms
B to FPR 6.3 ohms

This would mean the relay is bad right?

Thanks a bunch man.

Well, I put a multimeter on the wires down by the pump and it looks like it is getting power. So I guess the relay is fine.

Does anyone know how many amps the fuel pump is supposed to be getting?

Starting to think it is the pump itself but want to be completely sure before I pick one up.

See mine doesn't look like that-doesn't have the box looking thins attached to it. That manual and Haynes say I should have it. Still confused about this. Don't see anywhere it would plug into the harness either.

Isn't that just the resistor? I don't think they were integrated later. The 90 model I've worked on has a separate relay, and so does my 87. The relay should be bolted right there by it, unless someone moved it.

Update, well i appears the pump itself was bad, replaced the pump and it fired right up. So either my car doesn't have a resistor or someone rewired it for some reason.

Thanks to all for all of the help.

Well, as Cuel pointed out your picture shows the resistor. What you seem to be missing is the relay. Not a good thing because under high load the engine may not be receiving all the fuel it needs. It would depend on how things are wired.

Yeah, you are right. It's a walbro pump. So I am going to rewire it with a relay following the writeup on this site.
