This started out as a simple strip everything to do a MHG.
Engine was running fine but when I saw the rod bearings...
Found numbers everywhere and my manual says nothing about them.
And I want to know EVERYTHING about my car.
Whats this on my rods: 730M, 730U, 823U?
Pistons have 2 numbers on top, the one by the arrow is size but the other number is? I have size 2 only but other is 1 or 2.
Is there a way to figure out what rodcap goes to what rod looking at the numbers? My rodcaps have numbers 1 or 2 or 3 between the ridges on the bottom.
Onto my rod bearing numbers: Mostly 8G23E, is this OEM or aftermarket. So the odd one: 8H21J in the rod and 8H19J in the cap, wtf is up with this?
It says in the manual 1 2 3 4 OR 5...
I found the rodcap size but then there are a lot of other numbers that I saw in another thread and they men nothing, true?
The rod with the weird bearings has 71, size 2 - 1 when all the others start with 57- does that mean anything?
Id be very greatful if someone could help me out.
