I come from a land down under
Ant: I'd be a little concerned with it X firing between plugs like that.

If you go to edit post you'll see the code used, open your pic in car domain right click it to get properties then copy/paste to the Image box in here.

you'll see memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/7/web/571000-571999/571789_133_full.jpg
(just need what's in bold)

Nice work !! I would consider using a rubber grommet where the wire feeds through. I do realize they are "prototypes"

I know I gotta get some but....it was a long day, and I just wanted to hide the plug galley, and keep moisture from getting in when int rains. I made this from 2 aluminum plates screwed to 1 8"x23.5" aluminum plate.

Thanks IJ....I need to put grommets in but I had a long day, and did not have any since I started late the parts store was closed. I got the idea from a Corvette coil cover that I saw. They have a complete cover on each cam with symetrical ridged lines so I went with this. I am thinking of putting 1 aluminum unit over the coils as a cover as well. I tried this and it didn't look bad at all. I wish I had my own machine shop.;)lol

If it works great, then there is no point in taking it out. Function > Fashion

ii did it for function, and now I will try to make it a bit more fashionable. Only takes alittl more time, and effort. The parts were cheap the time was not. I have a friend willing to machine the holes for me.

i don't like how it looks. it made your setup just about as bad a stock to chang the plugs too. a blue powder coat to match your cam gears will help out the look. i still think it would look the best with just the stock cover powder coated blue. just my opinion.

I had the covers polished, but this is to keep water out when it rains. The plug galley open is not appealing either.
your opinion is understood

I think it looks different. I don't know if I like it 100% but I do think it looks better than stock. I give you an A for effort, and I think you're on the right track. It's never a bad thing to be innovative and open to trying different things. Good luck.

Yeah thats what my friend said that it looks like the 5m cover, but it does serve a purpose. It will help keep moisture like rain out when I am out and it starts to rain.
