ok i finally made my 1rst goal which was to break intothe 13's on stock turbo, stock intercooler and piping, stock afm stock ecu only with exhaust.

My slip from today was
rt .723
60' 2.140
330 5.874
1/8 8.945
mph 80.56
1000 11.578
1/4 13.788
mph 99.85

my previous slip on my 1rst pass ever was 14.0 was
rt .748
60 2.404
330 6.201
1/8 9.260
mph 81.31
1000 11.893
1/4 14.086
mph 103.38

Both runs, same mods, I shifted a little bit earlier on my 13.7 run at around 6200 rpm where on the 14.0 I took it a lil further in the revs.
I kno I cut a way better 60ft time on my 13.7 run but why did my mph drop 4mph? Was it the revs i shifted at? or was it because the car hooked better off the line and I'm traveling the same distance in less time?

my car weighed in with me in at and a 1/4 tank of gas 3590.
Mods are stock 7mgte, w58, 4.30lsd. Act pp. stock intercooler stock intercooler piping. stock ct26 turbo. Bic 3" ddp vented wastegate, full 3' exhaust piping no cars or resonator and obx 3" muffler, on rear mkiv 255/50/16 m/t drag radials.

You can improve that 60 foot even more. I managed a 2.0 with shitty 225 all seasons. What all have you removed from the car to lighten it?

Great 1/4 time for stock setup!specially your 60' . are you running ACT TS2 HDSS ?

Yes I'm running act heavy duty pp for w58 and a oem stock clutch disk. I have Mickey Thompson 255/50/16 drag radials. I was hoping and working on getting a 1.8 or 1.9 60ft I realize that my diff needs servicing. Only did a one wheel peelout in the burnout box and now my diff is starting to whine slighty. I will be doing a fluid change today

my personal goal is to clock 13.5 still on stock turbo and intercoolet with the w58 before I change turbos

Yup I'm working on it. I was caught off guard by the launch the Honda next to me didn't stage properly so I had to sit and wait and when I saw the lights I was just caught off guard. It's a 87 targa top leather interior power driver seat, rear seats, hatch interior trim, and spare tire and Jack removed.

I left at 4500rpm the car bogged slighty. Gonna give it some more rpm next time

yup alot of ppl in my crew actually prefer using aftermarket pp with a oem stock disk. One of the more faster car does 11.5 11.6 and he has rps pp with stock oem disk. If it works for him, it works for me.

And im actualy gonna be switching to a 57 trim after i reach my goal with the stock turbo.

Just heat those drag radials up really good, and practice wat rpm, clutch techniques works best for you.

I just do the high rpm and dump the clutch. My best 60ft to date was 1.9 but i missed 2nd to 3rd and went 2nd to 5th on that run. That was me dumping the clutch at 4500 but i didnt heat up the drag radials so it didnt bog. Now that i heat them up, i kno i can dump it at more rpm. And then you have tire pressure etc to play with, The more runs you make the better you can dial in the car so have fun.

have you dynoed your car yet?

Nice job man, have it dynoed yet? Or a ET HP rating? That's pretty good with a stock turbo, nice job. I as well was running a ACT PP, with a stock Toyota disk, i still have it actually... off the car now.

Slicks, that's where you will improve 60 fts, don't waste time with other crap.

Duane

yea but if im still only getting 2.1 and 2.0 on drag radials then i kno as a driver im doing something wrong and not using the drag radials to its fullest if others are cuting 1.7's and 1.8's

eventually i will move to m/t et street slicks, but only after i better myself as a driver to get to at least consistent 1.8 , 1.9 60 ft times with the drag radials.

just from looking at other ppl similar dyno graphs with the stock turbo and bic ddp. I should be in the 290-310 hp range and around 340ish in trq. I dont wanna dyno it while im still on the stock turbo, i will when i get my 57 trim tho lol.

The 24th is the northeast supra meet where we rent the track for the day. I will make as many passes as I can and start dialing the car tire pressure, launch rpm and clutch technique.

I'll start with 19lbs on the rear and and make a few passes try dumping it at different rpm to find the sweet spot where it wont bog but spin off the line. When i find the rpm where it will spin when i dump it, ill leave at that same rpm but do a quick slip of the clutch instead.

Make sense?
