I traded my Formula for this car, and so far am glad I did. So far it is barely using any gas at all, and I havent even tuned it yet. The guy was kinda a dumbass, but his brother was the guy that built the motor, and he knew his stuff, and showed me machining and parts receipts for the motor.

Heres a quick rundown on what it is
Built 1G 6-bolt 4G63
61mm bolt on turbo
FP2 272 cams
450cc injectors
SAFCII
3" downpipe - 3" exhaust
FMIC kit (needs to be redone)
6-puck clutch/2600lb pressure plate
ugly ass 17" wheels

plans are:
Get the timing and TPS set (idle surges about 600 rpm at timesand timing isnt set perfect)
Change the wheels to some white ones
drop it a little
Apex'I n1 exhaust
re-do the i/c kit (has a radiator hose for one of the connectors)
tune it (gonna use the UEGO from my supra)
re-do the charging system (kinda ghetto rigged)

heres some pics from when i got it, ya those are some jdm tight tail lights

As of last night

Careful. 450's are stock injectors. Not that you didn't already know that.... ;)

its at 15psi right now (according to what i was told), probably not gonna go much past that, i havent even boosted it yet due to no wideband

lmao IJ

got some work done on it before the random ass winter/ice storm that hit last night

removed the front plate, re-did the fog light bezels in black, and got the front part of the passenger side skirt (lucked out and found a white one)

p1668700_2.jpg

re-did the intercooler piping (4 couplers were loose), swapped out the greddy RS for the Tial from my supra, re-made the intake pipe, and did a little cleaning, still needs a lot more tho
p1668700_3.jpg

also finished cleaning on the interior (still need to remove the carpet and clean it)

Not bad, my buddy had a 96 GST convertible and it was a pretty fun car. Had an Evo turbo on it. Too bad traction was an issue all the time. Are you going to get rid of the wing and change out the tail lights so it's not riced out? If you did it would look pretty clean.

you have successfully un-pimp ze auto. car is looking very nice!

Fixed. I had one of these rev on me last year, was kinda silly, I could hear his turbo spooling... in neutral. I always did like the interior though, they're comfy for a 'cab-forward' design.

ya i also have a good laugh when cars can spool by just revving (my brothers WRX does), but the turbo on this is pretty lazy.

and the stock wing is staying. i would have to change hatches to do the other one, and drill into the body as well. so stock one stays

Got the car running with the MAF translater, thanks to BJ91T, starts quicker and runs smoother with this setup

p1673692_1.jpg

just for reference, heres the motor when i got it
p1673692_2.jpg

and finally got the interior back together, lots of new (to me at least) interior pieces to bring the car up to spec, carbon fiber piece to hold the SAFC in the dash above the HVAC controls comes in on monday

Looks better than it did.

For some reason these cars always look as lot cooler than they are. The awd's are pretty decent and at least the gst is factory turbo. I like them but its like a knock off mk4. Good work tho and prolly would make a nice daily.
