Uhh, I don't think so. Besides compressor surge, it's always sounded like that. There "are" different models of Bosch BPV...but I'm not sure on details as far as how similarities and differences go.

well it looks to me like a different bosch thne the ones that most use as a direct replacement for the stock one.. that one almost looks like a turbo xs type H style.. but i will say taht it does sound good my bosch is recirculated.. but i also have a DDP so i couldnt really put up a sound clip for u guys for comparision... but i would say that mine is a lot quieter.

Not recirculating. The Bosch that everyone is most familiar with(direct stock replacement)...this is not that one. I actually don't know the exacts on it, but it is some type of "Bosch" and I only paid like $40 for it. I like it, but I've got an HKS SSQV now so if anybody would be interested in buying it once I get a flange made, I'll post it in the For Sale section for pretty cheap.
